    Singing for Tomorrow

Well, today came with mixed responses and emotions. I heard from the New Southerner, they are publishing my review of Sarah Luczaj’s new collection of poetry An Urgent Request. Pirene’s Fountain Poetry Journal rejected several of my poems, but requested I send more as they, “like my style.” I am anxiously awaiting a response from Night Train on the only poem they haven’t rejected “Pumpkins.”
In just a few minutes I am going to break out the guitar for the first time in months and sing my kids to sleep. It is good to stretch every creative muscle we have, and I often find that doing things like singing to the kids inspires me to sit and write for a bit afterward. So, here is to singing for tomorrow, and hoping for a brighter day!
