    Work, work, work

The one thing about grad school…it teaches you how to be a work-a-holic. I coming out of writing 5 or more poems a month, and reading 5-7 books a month.

Since I have finished school I have sent nearly every poem in my manuscript out for consideration, 1 chapbook contest, and 2 queries for full book publication. I have started devising a quarterly art and poetry journal with the help of my amazing husband, and I have a reading coming up in September in MA. (Thank you Lori)

All of these are wonderful! I am tired tonight though. My website is almost done with the revisions I wanted. The poetry samples have been updated, and I think it is time for something new.

I haven’t written a good poem since I have gotten home two weeks ago! So, this weekend is poetry weekend for me. I am going to read 2 new (to me) books of poetry, and write 5 poems. Even if they suck. I am giving myself permission to suck 😉

Oh, and today I offered to write a review for a new book of poetry coming out. Our passions have a way of driving us.

    Until next time…
    Ivy
